Dear Diary,

It is interesting how life is full of surprises and we can find satisfaction and happiness in situations that we have not planned. It is even more interesting when that satisfaction and happiness is generated when we help other people. I did not imagine that relieving, even a little, the suffering of others would do so much good for my soul and my spirit leaving me so satisfied with myself.

I have always thought that I would only find happiness in actions aimed at my own satisfaction, but by helping a beggar and allowing him to have a little satisfaction in his difficult life journey, I was happy. I liked to take some of the difficulties that the beggar goes through and give him a little comfort generated comfort for me too.

I was also fully happy, excited and full when adopting a pet cat. Knowing that this animal will have a home to protect it and that it will no longer be hungry and thirsty or mistreated, fills my soul with joy.

I intend to do good deeds frequently, because I want to feel this feeling forever, in addition to contributing to the happiness of others.

1. We must add -d to regular verbs ending in -e.

like - liked

dance - danced

change - changed

use - used

2. We must add -ed to regular verbs that do NOT end in -e.

visit - visited

3. If the verb has only one syllable ending in consonant + vowel + consonant, we must double the final consonant before adding the -ed.

stop - stopped

4. If the verb ends in a consonant + y, we must drop the -y and add -ied.

carry - carried

try - tried

NOTE: If the verb ends in vowel + y, it belongs to the second rule and not this one. In other words, we do NOT drop the -y. We simply add -ed.

Read the sentence. Journals writing are an effective tool for developing new essay topics. Proofread the sentence and fix the error. Change the spelling of developing to developping. Delete the word writing. Change are to is. Place a comma after tool.

Answers

Answer:

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the answer is: Journalism is an effective tool, for it develops new essay topics.

Journal writing can be shortened to journalism. Also, the are needs to be an is, and since you said to put a comma after tool, I'm guessing "for" is a conjunction. Coordinating conjunctions are used in compound sentences, so I added a subject to the second independent clause and matched the tense to the first clause.

But when it is necessary for him to proceed against the life of someone, he must do it on proper justification and for manifest cause, but above all things he must keep his hands off the property of others, because men more quickly forget the death of their father than the loss of their patrimony. Besides, pretexts for taking away the property are never wanting; for he who has once begun to live by robbery will always find pretexts for seizing what belongs to others; but reasons for taking life, on the contrary, are more difficult to find and sooner lapse. Where does the writer stray from the topic? What could be done to fix his problem? Explain what you would cut and cross it out in the text of the essay. " The Black Cat"

Answers

Answer:

He "the writer" strays from the topic to the text of the easy when he talks about injustice.

The problem would be fix If he remove the part that as to do with injustice and make the body paragraph have more meaning.

What i would prefer to cut out is (Is execution the right way to deal with crimes, especially by people who display signs of mental illness? Couldn’t society develop a more compassionate way of dealing with people in the narrator’s position?). because it create more confusion in the paragraph.

One way I saw the author stray from the main idea was in the second paragraph where they stated how withholding words built up more suspense. For example, “... is he being executed? is execution the right way to deal with crimes, especially by people who display signs of mental illness? couldn't society develop a more compassionate way of dealing with people in the narrator's position?” All of these questions are very unneeded and unnecessary. They don’t do anything to support the idea the writer gave in the beginning. They especially strayed from the main topic when they mentioned the ‘execution mental illness’ bit. All this will do is confuse the reader.

To fix this issue, I’d completely cut out all these questions and find another way to restate them. For example, I’d use something along the lines of, “None of the questions flowing through the reader's mind are answered until much later in the story.” The way this sentence is now stated is very precise and stays with the main point.

''Sunrise over Fallujah'' Book In a discussion of the language of the war, one of the soldiers remarks, "I don't know why they calling it friendly fire if it kills you." What is he pointing out about the language and terminology used in the war? a/ It is often conflicting. b/ It is easy to remember. c/ It is clearer than the motives for the war. d/ It changes all the time.

Answers

Answer:

The soldier is pointing out that:

a) It is often conflicting.

Explanation:

If people who are fighting against you open fire and kill you, we can say you were killed by enemy fire, since it was the enemy who shot. Thus, friendly fire means being killed by your friends, not by your enemy. However, when the soldier says, "I don't know why they call it friendly fire if it kills you," he is paying more attention to the literal meaning of "friendly". "Friendly" can refer to people who are nice and kind. But it can also refer to something that is not harmful. If a product does not harm nature, we say it is environment-friendly. From this perspective, it does seem weird to call "friendly fire" something that is harmful, that can kill you. Thus, to this soldier, terminology used at war seems conflicting.

How does culture effect negatively to a child growth and development

Answers

Answer:

it does affecting them

Explanation:

physical development such as how a child develops motor skills and grows can be impacted by cultural identity cultural factor like dietary restrictions and lifestyle choices may improve or impede a child's grow

Answer: Child development is a dynamic, interactive process. Every child is unique in interacting with the world around them, and what they invoke and receive from others and the environment also shapes how they think and behave. Children growing up in different cultures receive specific inputs from their environment. For that reason, there’s a vast array of cultural differences in children’s beliefs and behaviour.

Language is one of the many ways through which culture affects development. We know from research on adults that languages forge how people think and reason. Moreover, the content and focus of what people talk about in their conversations also vary across cultures. As early as infancy, mothers from different cultures talk to their babies differently. German mothers tend to focus on their infants’ needs, wishes or them as a person. Mothers of the African tribal group Nso, on the other hand, focus more on social context. This can include the child’s interactions with other people and the rules surrounding it.

This early exposure affects the way children attend to themselves or to their relationship with others – forming their self image and identity. For example, in Western European and North American countries, children tend to describe themselves around their unique characteristics – such as “I am smart” or “I am good at drawing”. In Asian, African, Southern European and South American countries, however, children describe themselves more often around their relationship with others and social roles. Examples of this include “I am my parents’ child” or “I am a good student”.

Because children in different cultures differ in how they think about themselves and relate to others, they also memorise events differently. For example, when preschoolers were asked to describe a recent special personal experience, European-American children provided more detailed descriptions, recalled more specific events and stressed their preferences, feelings and opinions about it more than Chinese and Korean children. The Asian children instead focused more on the people they had met and how they related to themselves.

Assuming constant pressure, rank these reactions from most energy released by the system to most energy absorbed by the system, based on the following descriptions: 1. Surroundings get colder and the system decreases in volume. 2. Surroundings get hotter and the system expands in volume. 3. Surroundings get hotter and the system decreases in volume. 4. Surroundings get hotter and the system does not change in volume. 5. Also assume that the magnitude of the volume and temperature changes are similar among the reactions. 6. Rank from most energy released to most energy absorbed. To rank items as equivalent, overlap them.
